The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the high quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The service point established for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to sassa attend to all sassa status people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
